Have you been seeing these around town? It's probably because local artist Cynthia Markert has been making art in and around Knoxville for over 30 years! Give a looksie to this new work by Cynthia:

These two stunning portraits are 8" x 8", but still carry as much mystery and grace as a 2' x 3' !

Floral patterns along with gold and black stripes are some of the striking motifs Cynthia employs. Red is also a color she uses in different amounts to create drama.

Cynthia Markert will be Rala's First Friday artist in December so be sure to keep an eye out for brand new work and fantastic Christmas gifts (for you, of course)!

Local artist Bran Rogers does everything! He works and lives downtown, he organizes art shows, he draws, he paints, he photographs, and he can balance a ball on his nose while riding a unicycle! We love Saturdays in downtown Knoxville! Mostly because we get to eat Cruze Farm ice cream for lunch, but also because we get to see all our farmer's market friends. For instance...

Hannah Turpin is the brains behind Buzzabee. She works in Oak Ridge by day, is a candle making pro by night, and even has a booth at the farmer's market!

Anika Toro also has a booth at the farmer's market. She is a local photographer and makes lovely cards and lamps for us. We especially love her Heartsphere card!

I've seen so many people walking around with sunflowers! These cards by Jill Sanders are perfect from marketeer to marketeer.
